Being a cosmetologist is my higher calling. I am licensed to physically make contact with people in a world where we are becoming more and more disconnected from each other. To let a stranger alter your appearance with sharp tools and chemicals requires a trust that I have great respect for. It's not just hair to me. It's a human connection. These acts of grooming make us who we are and also connect us as a community.
